Last month SOUTHERN GLOBE reporters covered the story of a 71 year old man who was hit by a motor vehicle along the Golden Highway. To date the man remains at Sebokeng Government Mortuary as family members have not come forth to claim the corpse.

Last month SOUTHERN GLOBE reporters covered the story of a 71 year old man who was hit by a motor vehicle along the Golden Highway. To date the man remains at Sebokeng Government Mortuary as family members have not come forth to claim the corpse.

It is alleged that the deceased was trying to cross the road when the accident occurred. Spokesperson, Mpho Kgasoane said that the police have since been looking for the family of the deceased but without luck. “The deceased sustained fatal injuries during the incident. A case of culpable homicide was opened at the Lenasia South police station,” she said.

According to the local SAPS, records prove that the deceased was residing at house number B 240 at Williams Farm. To no avail, all attempts in locating the victims’ family have been futile due to the changing of the house numbers at Williams Farm. Police investigations are continuing.
